WAKE FOREST, NC – In a new exclusive partnership agreement with Meridian GeoSystems (Meridian), Geographic Enterprises (GE) has agreed to take over the management of Meridian’s data product line, including the popular StreetSmart geospatial data products for the US.

“After just getting GE launched this Spring, we were approached with a rare opportunity to manage the well established StreetSmart data product line” stated Kent Hargesheimer, GE Managing Partner.  “Before starting GE, I had included the product in both desktop and enterprise GIS solutions for business intelligence clients.  They were all very pleased with how easy the product is to use and the quality of the data at such a reasonable price.  StreetSmart is a real value in today’s GIS data market where most other popular base street level datasets are more than twice the price.”

Thousands of highly skilled hours have been spent putting the StreetSmart enhancements, improvements, and utilities into place.  These efforts really differentiate the product, enabling customers to generate aesthetically pleasing maps in just minutes.  StreetSmart is delivered with more than 80 layers of enhanced data and also includes all of the terrain and land-use imagery from Meridian’s Terrain Plus.

StreetSmart is available in both MapInfo and ESRI ArcGIS formats.  A national license for StreetSmart is only $1,995.  Multi-state regional licenses are $795.   National internet server licenses are available for just $4,995.  More detailed information about StreetSmart and Terrain PLUS with free product sample downloads is available at http://www.meridiangeo.com.

“I have known Kent at GE for many years and am delighted to partner with him to manage the StreetSmart data products” said Berk Charlton, Meridian President.  “His level of professionalism and technical expertise will add great value to the StreetSmart products.”
