Geotagging is a hot topic lately and one that many not be completely familiar with.  Check out the definition in Wikipedia…in layman’s terms, its a feature of many of our personal technology devices, i.e. cellphone, digital camera, wifi enabled devices, etc.  Your device can add your specific location (usually within 50 feet) in the form of latitude and longitude coordinates.   This feature can be extremely helpful in certain situations but it can also be dangerous.

For example, you take a non-descriptive picture of an event inside your home and then post it on Facebook.   If the photo was geotagged you potentially just displayed your home address for all to see.  To disable this feature look in your devices user manual and follow the directions.
